Drawing No. 9

I.J. 3 March 2013, 9.13 PM

  1. This reminds me of Picasso's "Blue Nude," which by the way is the painting hanging right above my bed.

The head down and sort of a slumping posture portrays a growing despondence, much like Blue Nude's mourning. This person seems lost, perhaps walking aimlessly.

But this is just my interpretation. I tend to see the darker more poignant side of things.

I love the feeling it evoked as soon as I saw #9.

  2. Dear Linjen,

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my blog. That's so kind of you.

I am feeling humbly grateful and happy you looked at my drawing and then also wrote such a detailed and warm personal comment showing your feelings. This I cherish.

Your words: slumping, despondence and aimlessly feel in place and were unconsciously in my mind I guess.

Linjen, thanks for all your lovely words.
I owe you a "XXX large cup of coffee with cream and sugar" ;)

    Kind regards,

    Inge Justa

  3. Always a pleasure. I look forward to seeing more.

    Do you sell your drawings?

Looking forward to our XXX cup of coffee.

    All the best,
